The Workout That Transformed Gwyneth Paltrow's Body In Just 10 Days

Let’s be real, if Gwyneth Paltrow swears by something – be it sex dust, jade eggs or vampire repellent – it’s usually reason enough for the rest of us wellness enthusiasts to jump on board. After all, the woman has literally turned back the clock on ageing, so clearly, she knows a thing or two about what actually works.

Which brings us to her love affair with the brainchild of fitness guru Tracy Anderson (aka, The Tracy Anderson Method).

For those not in the know, the trainer has helped sculpt some of the most famous bodies in the biz (from Kimmy K to Madonna) with her signature dance-inspired workouts. The classes, which are streamed online, are all about working small muscle groups through repetitive high-rep movements.

Gwyn and Tracy first started working together after the actress gave birth to her second child, Moses, back in 2006. She’d been struggling to lose the 9kg she had put on during her pregnancy, and after just one class she started to see results.

“Years ago, when Gwyneth Paltrow first started with me she lost 11 inches in her body after the first 10 sessions. She did it 10 days in a row and that was the result,” Tracy told The Chalkboard Mag. “You can actually see the significant difference in how your body looks and feels after 10 days.”

And sure, that much weight loss is impressive, but it wasn’t Gwyn’s main goal. The aim with The Tracy Anderson Method is to feel healthier, stronger and more balanced – and get there in a sustainable way.

“She’s the exercise genius of all time,” Paltrow once told Oprah. “She developed this system of doing dance aerobics so that you’re not doing anything repetitive.”

13 years later and Gwyn’s still a die-hard fan (a feat the pair recently acknowledged on Instagram). In fact, she works out with Tracy two hours a day, six days a week.

“I work freakin’ hard,” she added. “It’s no accident.”
